Community Grants
Community Grants are now open. Closing Thursday 28 March 2024. (Please note funding will be paid out early May 2024)
Our community funding round is currently open. Applications for the March round open on Friday 1st March 2024.
Please note if you have received a grant from us in already in 2024 then you are not eligible in this grant round, but we would love to receive your feedback on what you have used your funding for by completing the grant accountability form.

REPORTING BACK – WHAT YOU USED THE FUNDING FOR
If you’re one of our lucky grant’s recipients we’d love to hear what you’ve used your funding for. Please fill out and return this form within 12 months of receiving the grant.
Who can apply?
We consider applications for grants for a wide range of charitable purposes within the communities of the Hutt Mana Charitable Trust’s district.
This covers any charitable, philanthropic, amateur sport, cultural or other purpose that benefits the community.
This can include, but is not be limited to, grants for:
facilities, equipment, and/or playing uniforms for sporting clubs playing in recognised, published leagues or competitions
recognised cultural, health, environmental, recreational or philanthropic activities or groups within the local community
charitable purposes, including the relief of poverty or welfare assistance through donations to recognised social service or welfare agencies
sporting events or tournaments; travel and accommodation costs
youth focused organisations or training organisations for equipment or scholarships that are administered by the recipient organisation
Please note, we can only accept one application per organisation per grant round.
What is the criteria?
To be eligible you need to be a non-profit organisation that is active within the Hutt Mana district.

What will be considered for funding?
Examples of types of things considered for funding include:
Local environmental improvement or enhancement projects
Training for community organisations to upskill volunteers
Resources and equipment for youth development and recreational projects
Projects involving the merger or rationalisation of two or more community or recreational organisations
