Changes to the Trust Deed
We have been looking at making it easier for people to seek election to become a trustee of Hutt Mana Charitable Trust.
Currently trustees must reside in a particular area of the Trust to stand for that position. For example if you live in Tawa you would have to stand for a seat as a Wellington North trustee.
We have been consulting with the public and have proposed that this stipulation be removed, that prospective trustees should still reside within the Trust District but not specifically in a particular community.
Our other proposal is to allow our trustees to hold meetings by video conference and to be able to advertise our AGMs through social media and other electronic media.
